Abhinav Bindra is an Indian shooting player and CEO of Abhinav Futuristics. Abhinav Futuristics, PC games peripherals distributor based in Chandigar. At the 2004 Olympic Games, he broke the Olympic record but failed to win a medal. He received Arjuna Award in 2001 and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for the year 2001-2002.
Abhinav Bindra won India's first-ever individual Olympic gold medal when he claimed the men's 10m Air Rifle shooting title here on Monday. Bindra shot 104.5 to take his total to 700.5 in the final. This is India's first ever Olympic gold in any individual event and ninth in total. The entire country erupted into joy and celebration when the reports of his great victory flashed across the television channels.
After winning the gold medal in 10m Air Rifle for india he said "I have worked hard for this. It was my day. I have always believed that I could do this and am happy to have done it. I have been in the sport for 10 years, and I know that the difference between winning and losing is not much. I didn't do anything very different today".
